Paint Color Inspiration for Our New Home

It’s time for a fun post – sharing the paint color choices and inspiration for our new home! The ENTIRE home was freshly painted during the renovation process, so when we do move in everything looks fresh and new.

Rick left all the color choices up to me, and I love the finished looks of all the colors. Once we are moved in, I’ll take full photos of different areas of the house to show the colors fully, but for now here is a sneak peek of what I chose and why.

Entire Home: Behr’s “Swiss Coffee”

We are a white, crisp color family and Swiss Coffee is a beautiful, very light cream color that works perfect in the home. It’s a warm white that we absolutely love for our main house choice. The living room, playroom, kitchen walls, hallways, office and twins bedroom are all painted this color.

Trim/Doors: Behr’s “Ultra Pure White”

This is a basic sharp white that contrasts nicely with the Swiss Coffee for all the accent parts of the time. We also painted the lower half of our dining room this color – we have a chair rail in the dining room, and did the top half…

Dining Room: Sherwin Williams “Sea Salt”

This is the only paint in the home where we did a different paint brand than Behr. My mother in law has this color in her master bedroom, and I absolutely love it. It’s a soft green/blue color that’s perfectly coastal. As I mentioned above, we have a chair rail in the dining room, so the top half is painted this color, and the bottom in the ultra pure white. It makes for a GORGEOUS coastal dining room color combination.

Bathrooms: Behr’s “Juniper Breeze”

To keep things simple, we did both bathrooms in the home in the exact same style. I LOVE this color! It’s a gorgeous, soft, oceany blue that reminds me of the Caribbean. Our floors are a marble looking vinyl that pop beautifully. It makes the bathroom look a lot more expensive than it was 🙂 This was definitely a big win of a color choice.

Ana’s Bedroom: Behr’s “Portuguese Dawn”

This was a risky color choice, since usually I go VERY neutral in color selections. But I wanted to do something fun in Ana’s bedroom, so we went with a boho dusty rose color. It turned out to be gorgeous! Once her white furniture is in I think this room will be a dreamy spot for a little girl.

Master Bedroom: Behr’s “Morning Zen”

This was the easiest paint color choice – we actually completely renovated our second floor/master suite in our CURRENT home back in early 2020, and this is what we painted our master. We love the color, so we didn’t even bother looking for a new one and decided to just migrate it over to the new house. It’s a very spa-like color, perfect for relaxation.

What do you guys think? As always, looking forward to your thoughts!

xx Becky
