Hey readers! I don’t know about you, but I am READY to get out of this winter. It has been utterly freezing here in Upstate New York, and I am dying for a break in the weather. I’m dreaming of springtime, flowers, sunny skies, and getting out of my sweatshirts!
That being said January was a super busy month here, I wanted to run through a recap, my favorite finds and top sellers, and focus on getting through the rest of this winter.
Highlights
We Officially Moved!
You guys know we bought a house flip and we officially moved in on January 21. What a HUGE relief off our shoulders to be settled in! There’s still a lot to do, but the big part is finished.
The big to do’s: we have a stair runner being installed this week, along with our floating shelves and built in wine rack. We’re just waiting on some specialty lighting pieces from Meyda Lighting to be finished as well – hopefully by Spring. We also need to hang ALL our artwork and photos, finish getting window dressings… a bunch of little projects we will do as we can.
We also need to list and sell our old house! That should be on the market next week, so hoping for a quick sell and then we won’t have that burden.
The Twins Gender is…
We received a definite that our twins are boys! I’m so excited (and very nervous) to welcome to little boys to our home in May. Our family will DEFINITELY be complete then, with one girl and two boys – that will be enough for us to handle!
Favorite Finds
Lululemon Ultra High Rise Leggings
I love lululemon leggings, and these have been a fantastic find for this point in pregnancy. I sized up and went for the ultra high waist and they fit like maternity leggings – only way more comfortable. I’ll definitely get wear out of them both before and after the babies are born.
I’ve owned a pair of birdies slippers for two years and literally wear them almost every day. They are PERFECT house shoes. My first pair was beginning to get too much wear, so I grabbed two new pairs – one with faux fur lining which has been heavenly this winter. Really recommend them.
These things are a holy grail mom-hack item. Store puzzle pieces, coloring books with markers/crayons, anything with loose pieces. It keeps all those little things together and are easy to stack! I LOVE them, and you get a huge bang for your buck for the amount that come in the package.
This was actually a Christmas present from Rick, but I haven’t been able to use it until recently. I love it! Our old Keurig was YEARS old and took forever to brew. I was the only one who used it (we have an espresso machine Rick loves) but I was pleasantly surprised to get this upgrade – and it’s great! It brews SO fast and is very compact on the countertop.
Best Sellers
This was a big hit on the PrimeLife Facebook Deals Group – it was on sale earlier this month and you guys loved it! I actually have been considering scooping one myself.
I bought and shared these for playroom storage, and they were another big hit. I love these! They are the perfect size to store on bookshelves and hold a lot of toys.
I totally agree – these are SO adorable for only $15! Perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Wishlist
This dry weather is absolutely killing Rick, Ana, AND myself. We desperately need to invest in a good air purifying system. We have a smart home and Dyson products really appeal to us because of all the tech and smart phone features. Do you guys have any favorite home systems to recommend?
Currently I have my work desktops and an MacBook Air, which have served me well for a long time. However, with the amount of photos we now have – along with making graphics and the blog – I really need something to support heavier loads, so I’m debating getting a new MacBook Pro.
